I DO hate how Panera makes me clear my plates. Thanks for reminding me.

Panera is just gross.

My mind is occupied with super nice guy after date 2, I am not really into him and I am wondering if I am crazy because I prefer a guy to not continuously compliment me....

I just want a guy to tease me, so hard to ask?

Yes, I am bumming about guys, and how the only ones who manage to "complement me" in any way don't have any teeth or are at least 50 and think I'm a beautiful "kid." Just throwing that out there.

((Sorry, it's been a bad morning))

Boff, Marry, Kill: the Beast from 'Beauty an the Beast', Alec Baldwin, and Patrick Stewart. You know this game, right?

Hey Julia!

Sounds like this could be a chemistry issue. I gets uncomfortable when guys give too many compliments; it feels like you're being worshiped rather than being appreciated. The power balance is off.

Helen, I'm sending you over a hug, girl.

I'd go with: Fuck the Beast cause he's probably an animal in the sack (*rimshot noise*), marry Patrick Stewart because we'd have a close, non-sexual partnership, and kill Alec Baldwin. I'm still annoyed at the voicemail he left his daughter and he always purses his lips in photos which gets on my nerves. Screw him!

hahaha! Nicely done, Kitten! :D

Also who was the lucky lady who got to take Anthony Bourdaine home last night because it sure wasn't me!

Anna said...

Lucky? He probably talked about her ear off about heroin, the Ramones, and described hangovers in excruciatingly long detail all night. I feel sorry for her! I wonder if he was wearing a thumb ring. *body shudder*

I like him, but he's a little too smug for my palette. You can have him, Julia!

Thanks, I'm just going to curl up with my coffee now, and ponder "Fuck or Marry" with The Beast and Patrick Stewart (I totally agree with Alec Baldwin but when a movie theatre screen sized head of Stewart appeared in the previews for The Dark Knight Rises, I nearly died)...

Oh man! I was thinking about how your picture on Shloobs is super babely. Also about how I haven't written a piece for SK in over a year. Also about how excited I am to quit working for my passive aggressive boss and start my new job next week.

Also, fuck the beast and marry Stewart. Polishing that bald head is going to be the highlight of the rest of my life.

Anna said...

Hey Patrick! Good to hear from you. Thanks for thinking my picture was babely. You should TOTALLY write another piece for Shmitten Kitten. I'd love that!

Anna said...

Totally just wrote of one guy after an epically lame birthday blow off and follow up lame-o text. Your phone dying and getting really drunk does not fly past 22 years old I am thinking. Yes completely contemplating marathoning Lost thanks to G4. Just not sure if I want to lose my life to it yet.

Ooh, I got an evil one for FMK!

Rick Santorum
Mitt Romney
Michelle Bachmann

Muahahahahahaha

Anna said...

Good one!

I'd kill Rick Santorum because he's evil. I'd fuck Mitt Romney because I think maybe he'll chill the fuck out once he bangs a funny Jew like me, and I'd marry Michelle Bachman because then it'll fuck up her whole gay marriage stance.

How'd I do?

Billy said...

Wow, you really thought about it didn't you? And you did well.

Good reasons.

i love that there is a blog post with a photo from "welcome to the dollhouse" as recommended reading from this post. i saw the new todd solondz movie alone on friday. like, I WAS THE ONLY PERSON IN THE THEATER. which was actually sort of interesting, "private screening!" and it's weird since that has never happened before. someone always comes into the theater last minute. but nope, not this time.

i love todd solondz generally, but i definitely recommend "dark horse." funny, biting. this one exchange in particular is still haunting me for being so, so, so on-point about how far people are willing to go just for a shot at not being totally lonely. funny/depressing reflection of exaggerated real life, what solondz does so well.

it's wednesday, go to $6 night at the ritz and see it! or go to $5 night at the rave tomorrow and see some stupid big budget movie. going to the movies alone can be fun except for not having anyone to talk to about the movie. good thing there's the interwebs!

Do you see well Anna? (good vision?)

Anna said...

Actually, I don't! I wear contacts but I'm pretty much blind without them. good question!

Anonymous said...

I could totally see you rocking some Lisa Loeb cat-eye spectacles.

Would you give a fan a hug?

Anna said...

Of course! I love my fans. I feel extremely lucky that anyone takes an interest in what I do. I'll hug anyone anytime!

Do you like Dr. Dog? The band, not the dermatologist.
