You could bring your friends and they can just hang out by the bar. We'd like to play hostess, but we imagine that we could rotate host duties with other Philly personalities. My question: would people be into this? Personally, I think it sounds like a ton of fun. Maybe I can have my own pool of suitors and they can all charm me in the time it takes to listen to "Rodeo Clown." At the very least, you'd meet some cool people who are into the same music as you. And, how awesome would it be to hear these bands in a bar? If we weren't running it, we'd probably show up just for that part alone. Email me your thoughts to anna@shmittenkitten.com or leave your ideas in the comments. Thanks, guys!

i'd go just to hear minor threat in a bar!
I know! I would too!
I would probably definitely go to something like this.
I feel like there's some clever connection to be made to the fact that most of those bands average something like 1:30 per song, but I just can't seem to come up with one.
Otherwise, it sounds neat.
@jon I think there should be a pink floyd night to counteract that
this would be fun, for sure.
I'd be down. This is The Future, dates shouldn't last longer than a few seconds anyway.
This is so cool I wish we have something like this here.
I'd drag my married ass out to hear those bands in a bar, too! I'd also gladly serve as a rinside "cutman" for some of the guys. Man, I'd hate to be the guy who happens to meet the girl of his dreams when a :17 Descendents' "Weinerschnitzel" comes on. D'Oh!
I like this idea. "Rodeo Clown" immediately reminded me of "I Like You OK." Lots of potential for the fun kind of irony here.
yes please! love the idea!
I'm currently quite the shmitten kitten over a Delawarean, but of course I would go!
Everyone, thanks for your feedback. I'm tinkering with the idea to ask for a suggested donation, part of which will go to a charity. Might as well spread the love while we try to find it.
